How Billing Works in SmartBusiness

  1. Start from Quick Actions – On the homepage, go to Quick Actions and tap Bills, then use the plus button at the top right to begin. This gives you immediate access to the billing screen without navigating through multiple menus.
  2. Add Products Easily – Search for products by typing or scroll through your list to find items. Tap on a product, adjust the quantity if needed, apply any discount, and add it to your cart. Repeat this process for every item the customer is purchasing.
  3. Review Your Cart – Once all items are added, tap View Cart to see a summary of everything selected. This step helps you confirm quantities, pricing, and discounts before moving forward.
  4. Select the Customer – A panel appears at the bottom where you can assign a customer. Walk-in customers are selected by default, but you can switch to an existing customer or add a new one instantly. This ensures every bill is correctly linked.
  5. Finalize and Create the Bill – A unique bill number is generated automatically. Add notes if needed, review all details, and tap Create Bill to complete the process. The bill is now recorded and ready for the next step.


This flow ensures that every bill is accurate, complete, and easy to manage. You reduce errors, avoid missing details, and maintain a consistent billing process across your business.


What You Can Do After Creating a Bill

  1. Access the Bill Instantly – Open the created bill to view all details, including items, totals, and customer information.
  2. Record Payments – Once the customer pays, tap Pay to record the transaction and update your records immediately.
  3. Cancel When Necessary – If a bill was created by mistake or needs correction, you can cancel it directly from the bill screen.
  4. Track Billing Activity – Every bill created becomes part of your records, helping you maintain a clear history of transactions.
  5. Stay Organized – With structured billing, you always know what has been created, paid, or canceled, keeping your workflow clean and controlled.
